ARAYAT - Despite their relationship as wife and husband, Mayor-elect Madeth Alejandrino and vice mayor-elect Emmanuel “Bon” Alejandrino has assured their constituents that the practice of check and balance in the local government will be maintained.

The Alejandrino couple, who were elected with 21,464 votes and 26,360 votes respectively, said their offices will both be supportive and observant of the measures issued by each other.

In her administration, Mayor-elect Alejandrino reiterated her priorities which include the improvement of the education sector which, she said, would benefit not only youth but also parents; the maintenance of peace and order; more livelihood projects for women and displaced workers; and boosting of the healthcare system in town.

Vice mayor-elect Alejandrino, who will be ending his mandate as the town’s local chief executive, said he will be leading the Sangguniang Bayan in crafting measures that will be beneficial to their townmates.
