CLARK FREEPORT -- Alpha Aviation Group (Philippines), Inc. (AAG), the premier airline pilot training school, is pursuing another major investment through the acquisition of a brand-new Airbus A320 full flight simulator (FFS) and expansion of its simulator training center.

“The twin projects are in line with AAG’s continuing commitment to provide world-class training solutions to its partners,” Mr. Cristopher Magdangal, AAG Regional Director for AsiaPacific underscores. “This is again part of our advocacy to help propel the Philippines into becoming the region’s premier aviation training hub,” adds Magdangal.

The projects will be undertaken through a USD 9 million++ financing agreement with Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and BPI Century Tokyo Lease and Finance Corporation that will bridge the acquisition of the A320 FFS and the USD 1 million++ simulator training center expansion.

BPI Century Tokyo Lease and Finance Corporation has also previously funded AAG’s acquisition of six Cessna 172S G1000 basic flight trainer aircraft and one (1) A320 Integrated Procedure Trainer (IPT).

The new flight simulator expected ready for training (RFT) by 2019 comes with full Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) capability and with A320 New Engine Option (NEO) and Current Engine Option (CEO). This new FFS will bring AAG’s current fleet of flight simulation training devices (FSTD) to a total of six, making it the largest in the country.

AAG currently operates one Alsim Flight Navigation Procedure Trainer (FNPT) II, one Aerosim A320 Basic Instrument Training Device (BITD)/Integrated Procedure Trainer (IPT), one MPS A320 Fixed Base Simulator (FBS), one (1) CAE A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) EASA Certified Level D, and one CAE A330/340 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) EASA Certified Level D.
