A 61-YEAR-OLD American citizen was arrested recently in Angeles City for multiple counts of child abuse and trafficking.

Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon, Central Luzon police director, identified the arrested individual as Nickolas Gabriel Pyant, presently residing in a subdivision in Angeles City.

De Leon said Pyant was wanted by law for 18 counts of violation of Republic Act (RA) 10364 or the anti-human trafficking law and 18 counts of violation of RA 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

De Leon said the arrest of Pyant must serve as a warning to lawbreakers and fugitives that the Central Luzon police will not stop until they are put behind bars.

“May this send a strong message to all those who continue to evade the law. Regardless of who you are, Central Luzon is not a sanctuary for fugitives and lawless elements," said De Leon.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
