AS PART of the Angeles City government's Women's Month celebration, Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. is set to distribute 179 units of hygiene kits to female persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).

In partnership with Beautederm Corporation, the hygiene kits will be distributed to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Camp Tomas J. Pepito in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Angeles City.

Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, also Beautéderm ambassadress, said inside the hygiene kits are reusable sanitary napkins, shampoo, and Beautederm products, including Purete spray, balm, Belle powder, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouth wash, face towel, and bath soap.

"The city government is encouraging every-Juana to use reusable sanitary napkins since it's environment-friendly and healthier to use," Manuel said, adding that, "this is also part of our programs to preserve our environment."

Chief Adviser and Tactician IC Calaguas, also Beautéderm ambassadress, cited the support of Beautederm Corporation led by its President and Chief Executive Officer Rei Anicoche-Tan to the city government's programs even before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Gender and Development Office headed by Mina Cabiles will distribute the 179 hygiene kits on March 10, 2021.
