CITY OF SAN FERNANDO A bill seeking to penalize riders for lane-splitting has been filed in the House or Representatives.

House Bill No. 1419 or the Anti-Splitting Law of 2022 was filed by Pangasinan 5th district Representative Ramon Guico Jr.

Under the said bill, riders are not allowed to pass in between two vehicles except when overtaking.

The bill was originally filed by Guico September 2019 but did not gain support from fellow lawmakers.

If HB 1419 is passed into a law this time, violators will be fined P1,500 for the first offense and P3,000 for the second offense.

A P5,000 fine and revocation of violator’s driver’s license is set as penalty for the third and final offense.
