APALIT Mayor Oscar Tetangco, Jr. together with the Municipal Council and officials from the 12 villages of Apalit town, recently went to Batangas province to distribute relief goods to residents affected by the eruptions of Taal Volcano.

This is in response to Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda’s call for action to assist areas ravaged by the continuous volcanic activity.

Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas personally received the P200,000 worth of cash donation from the municipal government of Apalit, and P187,175 from the 12 barangays.

Aside from these, Apaliteños also donated 665 sacks of clothes, 439 packs of goods containing rice, noodles, canned goods, and coffee, dishwares, bread and biscuits, toiletries and hygiene kits such as toothbrush, toothpaste, diapers, cotton buds, sanitary napkins, water, bathing and laundry soap, underwear, towels, blankets and mattresses.
