ARAYAT -- Bedridden senior citizens suffering from various types of diseases received over the weekend early Christmas gifts from the provincial and local government.

A total of 44 patients from different barangays here received grocery packs from Governor Dennis Pineda and were awarded by Arayat First Lady Madeth Alejandrino and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Elvira Gatus.

Mayor Emmanuel Alejandrino said the grocery packs aim to uplift the spirit of sickly Arayeteño elderly by sharing the early holiday vibes.

"These are just simple presents, additional to their grocery supplies that can hopefully make them feel that they are cared for and remembered by the government," he said.

The ceremonial distribution was held at the municipal hall here and was attended by authorized representatives of the beneficiaries.
