ABOUT 500 persons deprived of liberty (PDL) at Tarlac City Jail benefitted from the medical mission of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and City Government of Tarlac.

“This activity is in line with the celebration of National Correctional Consciousness Week which intends to give medical assistance and provide cure to the current diseases of the PDL,” Tarlac City Jail Male Dormitory Warden Jail Superintendent Bernabe Olsim said.

“We partner with national government agencies, local government units and civil society organizations in ensuring that we provide the needed medical assistance of our PDL,” Osim added.

In behalf of the recipients, Sarah Caputol, 30, expressed her gratitude to BJMP and the city government for conducting the medical mission.

She hopes that this kind of activity will be continuously conducted in their community so that many of the PDL especially those who are old and sick will be given the needed assistance. (PIA-Central Luzon)
