BOC to streamline customs processes, operations

Sunnexdesk

THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) will officially implement in all ports nationwide its new computer system modernization projects geared towards streamlining customs processes and operations.

Goods Declaration Verification System, National Value Verification System, BOC Portal (Ticketing System), Document Tracking System, and the BOC Dashboard are among the computer systems that will be formally implemented this month by BOC.

These systems are designed to improve transparency and reduce opportunities for corruption, and provide seamless trade services with lesser human intervention. Furthermore, these will ensure simplified and accessible customs processes and services that will cater to the demands of the stakeholders and the public.

All these reforms and innovations are expected to further improve revenue collection and increase business opportunities for the trade industry.

The Bureau of Customs is continuously working on delivering efficient and seamless trade services – a customs administration that will be at par with global standards. (PR)
