British pilot killed in crash

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- A British pilot died when his two-seater ultra-light plane crashed in Barangay Lapaz Turo, Arayat, Pampanga, on Friday, September 20.

Police Colonel Rhoderick Armamento, PNP Central Luzon Deputy Regional Director for Operations, said Mark Hogget, 55, a British national residing at Camella Homes, Tarlac City, was flying his plane around the vicinity of Arayat town when it began to descend.

The plane then crashed in a rice field resulting to his death, Armamento said.

The plane with Body No. RPS2785 is owned by the Angeles Flying Club. (Ric Sapnu)
