CLARK FREEPORT -- Under its Community Relations Project (CRP) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Clark Development Corporation (CDC) recently extended its assistance on the improvement of facilities in Tarlac State University (TSU).

In a memorandum of agreement between CDC and Capas, Tarlac, the state-owned firm extended its assistance in the renovation and improvement of TSU’s Satellite Campus Extension Administration Building and three other classrooms. CDC allotted a budget of P3.7 million for the said project which intends to accommodate the growing number of students in the state university.

With the recent completion of the project, CDC through its External Affairs Department (EAD) also conducted a joint inspection to assure the efficiency of the facilities. Accordingly, the said activity also served as a prerequisite before the issuance of certificate of completion and other related certifications on the said project.

Present during the said inspection were CDC-EAD Assistant Vice President Rommel Narciso, CDC–internal audit officer Engr. Victor Barbieto and other representatives from the Commission on Audit.

The TSU is a public university in Tarlac and one of the premier academic institutions of higher learning in the area which offers different degree programs.

Meanwhile, CDC has also been active in extending its help to various schools’ projects of other neighboring communities. These include numerous CSR programs such as the Brigada Eskwela where 14 schools from Mabalacat City, Tarlac and Porac benefitted. (PR)
