Central Luzon cops nab 1,000 protocol violators in 1 day

MORE than a thousand individuals in Central Luzon were arrested in a single day for violation of Covid-19-related health protocols.

Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon, director of the Central Luzon police, said a total of 1,199 persons were apprehended on October 13 during the implementation of Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) regulations.

Of this number, 862 were caught for the improper wearing and not wearing of face masks; 250 were caught for the improper wearing and not wearing of face shield; 87 were warned for violation of social distancing.

He added that 88 persons were likewise denied entry in the region as part of the day-long simultaneous operations.

"We continuously appeal to the public for understanding and adherence on the IATF restrictions as we continue to be very strict in its implementation,” De Leon said.
