Central Luzon Covid-19 cases breach 34,000 mark

CONFIRMED coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Central Luzon provinces have now reached a total of 34,193 cases, according to the latest bulletin from the Department of Health (DOH).

Of the number, 25,079 cases have since recovered. Some 8,027, which represents 23.5 percent of all cases, are currently active.

Most of the active cases in the region are in Bulacan with a total of 2,655, followed by Pampanga with 2,271 active cases.

As of March 29, the DOH bulletin showed that there were also 978 active cases in Angeles City, 37 in Olongapo City, 247 in Zambales, 675 in Tarlac, 650 in Nueva Ecija, 317 in Bataan and 124 in Aurora.

Since the start of the pandemic, some 1,087 people or 3.2 percent of the total number of cases have died from the virus.
