Central Luzon Covid-19 cases breach 6,000 mark

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Coronavirus cases in Central Luzon have reached more than 6,000, according to the September 2 advisory of the Department of Health (DOH) in the region.

The DOH recorded a total of 6,187 confirmed cases in six provinces of Central Luzon.

Of the said confirmed cases, 3,058 are in Bulacan province alone. Pampanga province is close behind with 1,158 confirmed cases. Bataan is in third with 863 recorded cases. Considerable cases have also been recorded in Nueva Ecija (374), Tarlac (189) and Zambales (459).

Of the 6,185 confirmed cases, 830 are still admitted while 2,948 have been discharged and are to complete a mandatory 14-day quarantine.

The DOH has also recorded 2,249 recoveries. The toll from the virus has now reached 158. Bulacan has the most number of deaths at 77, followed by Pampanga (33), Bataan (17) and Nueva Ecija (13).
