Central Luzon Covid-19 cases reach 29,000

CONFIRMED coronavirus cases in Central Luzon have reached a total of 29,031, according to the February 18 bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH) in the region.

Of the number, 12.9 percent are active, representing some 3,744 cases.

From these active cases, 1,559 are without symptoms while 2,067 cases exhibit mild symptoms of the virus. Some 39 cases show moderate symptoms, while another 62 cases are severe and 17 are in critical

Some 24,235 cases, representing 83.5 percent of all confirmed cases, have reportedly recovered from the virus.

The number of coronavirus deaths in Central Luzon has also slightly increased to 1,052 cases as of Friday, February 19. The deaths represent 3.6 percent of the total number of all known confirmed cases in the region.

Densely populated Bulacan province has the most number of confirmed cases with 11,629, followed by Pampanga with 5,527 cases and Bataan with 3,771 cases.
