City mayors suspend classes due to ‘Karding’

ANGELES CITY The mayors of Angeles City and Mabalacat City have suspended classes, both in public and private schools in all levels due to heavy rains brought by super typhoon “Karding.”

In their respective social media pages, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., and Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo suspended classes for today, September 26.

In Angeles City, 24/7 emergency numbers are 0917-851-9581 and 0998-842-7746.

In Mabalacat City, Garbo has activated a command center at the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in preparation for the potential effects of the typhoon.

As of Sunday afternoon, the whole province of Pampanga was placed under signal number 3 due to strong winds and heavy rains brought by the super typhoon.
