Confirmed Covid-19 cases in Central Luzon now at 60,761

CONFIRMED coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Central Luzon have now reached a total of 60,761, according to the latest bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH).

New active cases for April 9 alone reached 995 from the different provinces of the region.

The DOH bulletin said that some 43,437 of the total confirmed cases have already recovered. However, some 16, 254 cases are still active, representing some 26.8 percent of all confirmed cases.

Most of the active cases are in Bulacan (8,536), Pampanga (2,756) and Nueva Ecija (1, 743).

Angeles City alone has 895 active cases with the fatality rate at 1.67 percent. Pampanga still has the highest fatality rate among the provinces in the region at 2.38 percent.

Deaths since the start of the pandemic are now at 1,070 cases. Overall fatality rate in the region is currently at 1.76 percent.
