THE number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases among Central Luzon policemen continues to decline as of Sunday, July 4, 2021.

Based on the Police Regional Office (PRO) Central Luzon Health Services Office's report, policemen currently infected by the virus were at 68 and only one new case was reported on Sunday.

The number was a huge decline from the over 200 active cases continuously recorded in the past months when a surge in Covid-19 cases was experienced in the region.

Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon, Central Luzon police director, said policemen are continuously reminded to take extra precautions to avoid being infected by the virus.

On the same bulletin, the health office reported that the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases among Central Luzon policemen was 1,781, with 1,708 recoveries and five deaths.
