Covid-19 recoveries in Central Luzon exceed 600

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- More than 600 patients in Central Luzon have already recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), data from the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Visayas showed.

On its latest update, a total of 652 recoveries out of the total 1,384 confirmed cases of Covid-19 was recorded by the agency.

The Province of Bulacan has the highest number of recoveries at 237 out of its 709 cases, followed by Bataan with 158 out of its 231 cases and Pampanga with 96 out of its 185 cases.

Nueva Ecija province also recorded 61 recoveries from its 108 cases, Zambales has 36 out of its 51 total Covid-19 cases and Tarlac with 31 out of its 53 cases.

A total of 31 repatriates from different countries who were quarantined in the region have also recovered and were already sent home.

Meanwhile, DOH-Central Luzon says there are about 185 active Covid-19 cases in the region as of Thursday evening, July 16.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
