THE Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office-Central Luzon through the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GAD FPS) conducted the field validation for the Search of Outstanding Women in the Field of Agriculture and Fisheries in the Municipality of San Ildefonso and San Rafael, Bulacan on July 28, 2021.

The GAD FPS is facilitating the Regional Search for Outstanding Rural Women: Pagkilala kay Juana sa Panahon ng Pandemya with five categories namely: Outstanding Rural Women; Outstanding Women Educator; Outstanding Women Entrepreneur; Outstanding Young Farmers; and Outstanding GAD Focal Person Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) level.

This aims to give due recognition to rural women who have shown excellence in their field of endeavor and made a significant impact on the lives of the people in their community.

As per guidelines, the search has two phases of selection for regional winners: the first phase is the scrapbook evaluation that was held on June 17 and 22, 2021, and the second phase is the field validation to check on the truthfulness of information declared in the scrapbook.

The validators were GAD Head Secretariat Zayra D. Sarenas and GAD Admin Staff Evelyn A. Villafane.
