DA inspects CL project implementation

City of San Fernando--The Department of Agriculture - Wide Field Inspectorate (DA-WFI) team conducted field monitoring, inspection, and validation of various Programs, Projects, and Activities implemented by the DA Regional Field Office 3 (DA RFO 3).

This is in line with their mandate to regularly monitor the department’s projects to ensure that these are properly implemented under the operational plans and guidelines, including fund utilization.

The team was welcomed and assisted by the DA RFO 3 officials and representatives from the different banner programs headed by Ms. Marie Joy Daguro of the Field Operations Division and in coordination with the Agricultural Program Coordinators of Region 3 and Provincial and Municipal Agriculturists.

During the three-day monitoring and inspection, seventeen (17) projects funded under the DA Regular Program and Philippine Rural Development Program (PRDP) were evaluated by the DA-WFI. These include farm-to-market roads in Pampanga and Tarlac; Bamboo intercropped with Mungbean and Irrigated by Solar Drip Fertigation in Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU); Solar-Powered Fertigation project in Lubao, Pampanga; F2C2 Project and Establishment of Mungbean Trading Post in La Paz, Tarlac; Onion Cold Storages in Tarlac and Nueva Ecija, Sweetpotato Processing Center and Storage Facility with Solar Dryer in Moncada, Tarlac; Mango Processing Facility in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija; Coffee Processing Facility in Dipaculao, Aurora; and Cacao Fermentation Facility in Baler, Aurora.

Mr. John Gonzales of the DA-WFI team said that they are very satisfied with the implementation of these projects and accomplishments of DA Central Luzon and thanked the latter and its beneficiaries for the warm welcome they received. They also congratulated the DA RFO 3 for being awarded as the best performing region in terms of financial and physical accomplishment during the first quarter of 2022.
