Daughter of frontliner casualty now in isolation

CIELO Jaochico, the daughter of Dr. Marcelo Jaochico who died on Tuesday from the dreaded coronavirus, has been placed under isolation and is now a patient under investigation.

“I am currently admitted sa hospital where he was admitted. I am in isolation,” the younger Jaochico said in a Facebook post on her personal account. She is currently isolated inside the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in the City of San Fernando.

Her father, Pampanga’s own provincial health officer has been the first frontline casualty of the dreaded corona virus 2019 (Covid 19) in Pampanga. Dr. Marcelo Jaochico, died on Tuesday night.

She thanked local officials for the assistance extended to her and her family.

“Let me also take this opportunity to thank Governor Dennis Pineda, his staff, Dr. Monserrat Chichioco of Dr. Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital, and its people po, for assisting us in everything and taking care of my dad at ngayon naman ako,” the younger Jaochico said.

“I am aware that we are privileged to receive such good-quality care, and it hurts me too that not all people are receiving the same. Please focus on our health sector right now. We need proper allocation of funds and mass testing. Deserve ng lahat ng tao mabigyan ng equal shot to survive. At sa taumbayan naman, please let’s do our part in flattening the curve. Our front line is the last line,” she added.
