THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here recently unveiled its "Lineage of Regional Executive Directors", a wall gallery containing photographs of former DENR Region 3 leaders on Monday.

The move is in honor of remembering individuals who have brought "environmental stewardship into a more profound altitude."

In his message, DENR Regional Executive Director Paquito Moreno, Jr. said the gallery signified tribute and respect to legacies of directors of Central Luzon.

“What’s behind this curtain is a small token of remembrance honoring the legacies of directors past. May this inspire us to serve the people, and be remembered as more than just a portrait on the wall,” Moreno ended.

This gallery lies at the lobby area of the DENR Regional Office 3 and features 15 regional executive directors, who have led the office since 1987. The unveiling ceremony was part of the 35th DENR Anniversary Celebration and the month-long observance of the Philippine Environment Month.

Tinago Barangay Hall, shown here on May 2, 2024, received a “Notice of Violation” from Cebu City’s Task Force Gubat sa Baha for the concrete wall behind it that lies within the three-meter easement zone of the Estero de Parian. /
