DOLE-3 bares PESO’s 2022 accomplishments

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Department of Labor and Employment Region III (DOLE-3) presented the various accomplishments of the Public Employment Service Office for the region in 2022.

PESO is a free employment service facility established in all local government units in coordination with (DOLE).

In 2022, PESOs in Central Luzon were able to assist 20,588 through the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES).

Some 3,728 interns benefitted from the government Internship program.

Some 7,303 individuals in the region were also provided livelihood assistance through DOLE’s programs like NegoKarts, bigasan, grocery or sari-sari store packages, FreeBis, among others.

DOLE’s temporary wage employment program dubbed TUPAD covered a total of 416,733 beneficiaries in Central Luzon for 2022.

Around 96% or 94,328 jobseekers out of 98,122 referred qualified jobseekers were also successfully placed to hiring establishments through the assistance of DOLE in 2022.

DOLE-3 Director Geraldine Panlilio thanked all PESOs in Central Luzon for being instrumental in the implementation of DOLE’s employment programs.

“We are really grateful to all PESOs for helping us in the realization of our vision. Your efforts and accomplishments are never unseen,” Panlilio said.
