CLARK FREEPORT A total of 159,721,516 commuters benefited from the third phase of the service contracting program from April 11 to Aug. 2 this year.

This is according to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

The program was launched to assist drivers and operators affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and soaring oil prices

The program is partly aimed to lessen the expenses of the commuting public, particularly healthcare workers and sectors relying on public transportation.

The Department of Transportation (DOTR) and the LTFRB thanked public transportation drivers, conductors, operators, and commuters who took part in the success of the program.
