OFFICIALS of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Tollways Regulatory Board (TRB) recently inspected the ongoing Montclair Interchange Project of the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) in Porac.

The project is a trumpet-type expressway interchange that connects to the SCTX in both directions.

The interchange will exit to the Montclair township project, a 200-hectare property near Clark Freeport that is being developed by Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC).

The interchange project includes the construction of a toll road ramps, overpass structure, toll plaza and booth and access road leading to the local road.

Present during the inspection were DOTr representative Melquiades Ordiales Jr., TRB chief of Regulation Division Joz Carlos Ordillano, TRB Engineer Apolonio De Guzman and other executives of Montclair.

The Gokongwei-led property developer is set to develop the area into a mixed-used estate.

Believing in the future of Clark Freeport, RLC earlier vowed to pursue development projects around Clark airport.

"We really believe in the future of Clark so we deliberately went out there to look for land," RLC President Frederick Go ealier said.

JG Summit, RLC's parent conglomorate, belongs to the consortium LIPAD which operates Clark International Airport.
