Drug sting in Pampanga leads to discovery of drug den

AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon dismantled a drug den and arrested five drug personalities in a buy-bust operation along Villa Benito, Madapdap Resettlement, Mabalacat City on October 18.

In his initial report to PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva, PDEA-Central Luzon Director Christian Frivaldo identified the arrested suspects as Marlo Duya Panganiban, Edwin Miclat Lampa, Melvin Montaray, Anna Lorainne Magat Torno (targetlisted), and Anna Marie Magat Torno (targetlisted), all residents of Mabalacat City.

Confiscated from the suspects were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less 15 grams and worth P102,000, one keypad cellphone, and three genuine P100 bills.

The suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PR)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
