DTI-MSME month kicks off at SM Olongapo Central

THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Zambales is celebrating Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Month with a series of local trade fairs in different location in Olongapo and Zambales.

DTI-Zambales Officer-in-Charge Provincial Director Enrique Tacbad, with MSMED Zambales Chairman Benjamin Farin, Small Medium Enterprises Development Council Olongapo Auditor Ricardo Chua, DTI-Zambales Division Chief Business Development Malou Arcega, and SM Olongapo Central Building Admin Manager Cromwell Baza formally opened the five-day MSME Week Trade Fair at SM City Olongapo Central on July 7.

The trade fair which ran until July 11 showcased crafts and homemade products from 22 promising MSMEs from Olongapo City and Zambales.

The celebration of MSME with the theme, “Makabagong MSMEs, bagong Pag-asa Laban sa Pandemya,” aims to support business operations continuity and help MSMEs recover and promote their products in order to minimize the adverse impacts of Covid-19 crisis.
