Employers reminded: Comply with wage hike

THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Central Luzon reminded employers to comply with the wage hike as it takes effect this June.

It could be remembered that the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) approved a P40 basic wage increase for Central Luzon workers.

The hike will be implemented in two tranches, wherein the first trance amounting to P30 will be implemented this June while the remaining P10 will take effect in January 2023.

By January 2033, the new minimum wage in Aurora province will be P344 to P409 while workers from the rest of the region will receive P414 to P460 daily wage.

DOLE Central Luzon Director Geraldine Panlilio said all employers in the region must comply with the new minimum wage law as it followed all legal procedures such as public hearings and was approved by the RTWPB.

Panlilio also asked employers to comply as soon as the hike takes effect to prevent intervention from the agency.
