PRESUMPTIVE Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri is eyeing the establishment of a specialty hospital for Central Luzon in Pampanga.

Zubiri said the establishment of the specialty hospital in Pampanga will be among the priority bills that he will be pushing once the 19th Congress commences its session on July 25.

In particular, the senator said the specialty hospital will be similar to the Philippine Heart Center, Lung Center of the Philippines, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, and the National Kidney and Transplant Institute, as well as the Philippine Cancer Center.

He said the he is eyeing the establishment of the regional facility in Pampanga as it is considered the heart of Central Luzon.

Zubiri explained that the establishment of the regional specialty hospital is aimed at making healthcare services more accessible to all Filipinos while at the same time decentralizing quality healthcare from Metro Manila.
