Floods submerge all villages of Masantol

MONSOON rains combined with high tide level have flooded the 26 barangays of Masantol town in Pampanga.

Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Paul Magat said portions of every barangay is submerged in up to two feet of floodwaters.

He said portions of the dike in Barangays Cambasi, Sta. Cruz, Palimpe and Sua have also overflowed and flooded the said communities.

As of Friday, July 31, no families were evacuated yet but continuous monitoring is implemented to ensure the safety of Masantoleños.

Magat said all evacuation centers are set for possible preemptive evacuation in case floodwater rise within the coming days.
