Ghanaian busted for illegal drugs

A GHANAIAN national was arrested by police operatives on Monday, February 18, in the City of San Fernando for possessing and selling illegal drugs to an undercover agent.

Authorities identified the suspect as Promise Ubaka, a native of Ghana in West Africa, 27, and a resident of Pilar Village, Las Piñas, Metro Manila.

Ubaka was arrested by operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit III during a drug bust conducted in Barangay Dolores, City of San Fernando.

Confiscated from Ubaka’s possession were 11 medium transparent plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 40.884 grams, weighing scale and the P2,000 marked money used in the operation.

Charges for violation of RA 9165 were filed against the arrested suspect before Prosecutor Nereo Dela Cruz docketed under NPS no. III-INQ-19-B-00153-00154.

Police Regional Office III Director Police Chief Superintendent Joel Napoleon Coronel said that “we will keep on conducting anti-drug operations as we are determined to win our all-out war on illegal drugs and we continue to implement our wide range proactive strategy against all forms of criminality.”
