Guv: ‘It’s safe to join KanLahi festival activities’

GOVERNOR Susan Yap assured Tarlaqueños that it is safe to participate in the weeklong Kanlungan ng Lahi (KanLahi) Festival amidst the threat of coronavirus disease.

“We are safe in the province because we don’t have that much foreign visitors attending the festival. So, you (Tarlaqueños) don’t have to worry as long as you bring your alcohol with you,” she said.

As a precautionary measure, she noted that the Provincial Government will also set up temperature monitoring and sanitizing gel stations especially during big events.

“Come out and join us because it is going to be fun. Every year, we try to improve in promoting the culture, history and love for our province. Let’s unite and be proud of our very own Tarlac,” she added.

This year’s activities include Tarlakenyo Food Festival, Agri-trade Fair, Bonsai Exhibit, Blessing of Diwa ng Tarlac, Tarlac National Painting Contest, A Night of Stars and Musicfest, Street Dancing Competition, Tribal Competition, Ballroom Competition, Paralympics, Pet Show, Zumba Extravaganza and Mr. Tarlac.

Also, Fun Run, Cheer Dance Competition, Gov SY Shootfest, Bike Night Ride, Binibining Kanlahi, Mobile Legends Tournament, Car and Motor Show, KanLahi Cup, Carabao Race and Pageant, Motor Cross Competition, Grand Parade Float Competition, PyroMusical Competition and Enduro-Race. (PIA-Central Luzon)
