Ineligible SAP recipients urged to return cash aid

Reynaldo G. Navales

THE City Government of Mabalacat has called on ineligible recipients of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) to return the Covid-19 pandemic cash aid they receive during the first distribution last month.

This is in adherence with the directive of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

"Bilang pagsunod sa utos ng DILG at DSWD, muling bubuksan ng Mabalacat City Government ang pagkakataon na maibalik ng mga nakakuha ng dobleng ayuda (DSWD-ESP and DOLE/SSS) sa ilalim ng SAP ng National Government mula June 18 hanggang June 26, 2020," the city's Gender and Development (GAD) office stated.

Concerned residents may return cash aid directly to the Office of the City Treasurer, located at the Mabalacat City Hall, Xevera Compound.

"Sa mga kusang loob na magsasauli ng natanggap nilang ayuda, mangyaring dalhin lamang ang mga sumusunod sa Office of the Treasurer sa Mabalacat City Hall, Xevera -- beneficiary's copy ng SAC form, personal at nilagdaang sulat na naglalaman ng dahilan ng pagsasauli, at perang natanggap (P6,500)," the GAD office added.

Ineligible SAP recipients who failed to return the cash aid to the City Government on the said date may face charged, the local government warned.

"Ang mga hindi pa din kusang loob na magsasauli ng nakuhang ayuda (mga nakakuha ng higit sa isang uri ng SAP sa ibang ahensiya ng gobierno) sa kabila ng pagkakataong ito ay maaaring mapatawan ng kaukulang parusa," the LGU added.
