IPs get 4Ks program from agri office

INDIGENOUS Dumagats of Barangay Matawe in Dingalan, Aurora attended the “Livelihood and Development for Indigenous Peoples (4Ks)” Program of the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO3), in collaboration with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) on Monday, June 14.

With the launch of the 4Ks program, the department aims to distribute selected seed crops, breeding animals and planting materials to Indigenous Peoples (IPs).

The department also shared knowledge on building and strengthening the organization and the necessary training to grow the seeds to be distributed to respective farms.

Apart from Aurora, the program has also been launched to IPs in various parts of Central Luzon, such as Barangay Bueno, Capas, Tarlac; Barangay Payangan, Dinalupihan, Bataan; Kabayunan, Dona Remediios Trinidad, Bulacan; San Lorenzo, Norzagaray, Bulacan; and Barangay Nabuclod and Barangay Mawacat, Floridablanca, Pampanga.

The 4Ks program of DA-RFO3 aims to provide agricultural assistance and support to our indigenous Dumagat people.

DA-RFO3 is expected to launch the 4Ks program in the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Zambales in the coming days.
