ANGELES CITY Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. has directed his medical staff to conduct house-to-house delivery of free medicines to women in the city as the enhanced community quarantine is enforced in the entire Luzon.

The mayor made an assurance that the medical assistance will continue amid the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid 19) threat.

Lazatin said the free medicine distribution is in line with the city government’s commitment to sustain the treatment of women patients after their medical examinations.

“It is important that as we help women know their health concerns, we must also help them address them correctly through necessary medicines or treatments,” the local chief executive said.

The city government, under Lazatin’s program for the women, recently provided free medical services including breast examination and pap smear.

This is in line with the celebration of the Women’s Month. Lazatin sends a mobile clinic to the city’s 33 barangays to bring medical services closer to the people.

“Everyday is a women’s day. Providing help to our women should be done daily and not only during the Women’s Month,” Lazatin said.
