ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. personally received Sinovac vaccines donated by the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Luzon recently.

Some 800 vials of Sinovac vaccine were delivered at the City College of Angeles, a designated quarantine facility of the city.

Some 400 vials will be used for the first dose, while the other 400 will be used for the second dose, according to the mayor.

To date, 3,215 health workers from public and private hospitals in the city and medical personnel handling Covid-19 patients have been vaccinated, using the initial vaccine donation from the World Health Organization, through the DOH.

The city government will procure vaccines for the remaining residents in the city.

The vaccination procedure is being ironed out to ensure the efficiency of the vaccination roll-out.

Meanwhile, Lazatin is encouraging his constituents to participate in the online and house-to-house survey being conducted by the city government to have an updated database system for the vaccine's master list.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
