LGU, DepEd officials lead Dau school building opening

MABALACAT CITY -- Officials of the City Government and the Department of Education (DepEd) recently led the inauguration of a new school building at the Dau Central Elementary School.

Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo "Jon" Lazatin II joined Mabalacat City Vice Mayor Gerald Aquino, DepEd Mabalacat Head Ma. Irelyn Tamayo and other officials during the event.

The four storey building, which has 16-classrooms, will be used by Grades 1 and 3 elementary pupils.

DCES Principal Benilda Tuazon expressed gratitude to Lazatin and the city government for their support to the school in terms of infrastructure and other programs.

She stressed the need to establish greater coordination between DepEd and the local government units to ensure that the speedy realization of school projects.

Also present during the blessing and inauguration of the new building were Councilors Jun Castro, Liza Pineda, Timmy Dee, Chief of staff Rosan Paquia and leaders of Barangay Dau.

Fr. Greg Vega officiated the blessing of the said building.
