PAMPANGA Liga ng mga Barangay President Gabby Mutuc confirmed on Friday, January 24, that the council agreed to send aid to families affected by the ongoing eruption of the Taal Vocano.

According to Board Member Mutuc, all members voluntarily gave at least P10,000 each to provide assistance to Batangueños displaced in the different evacuation centers.

Apart from the contingent provided by the provincial government, Mutuc said this is their initiative to show their sympathy to those who were greatly affected by the said tragedy.

The group will donate 5,000 pieces of one liter bottled water, 2,000 pairs of slippers, 2,000 sets of hygiene kits and 30 sacks of 25 kilograms rice to the affected families.

Mutuc mentioned that they are set to go to Batangas along with the whole Pampanga contingent headed by the governor next week.

Furthermore, the Pampanga Mayor’s League (PML) headed by Minalin Mayor Edgardo Flores, is also planning to pass a resolution to ask each member or municipality to donate not less than P100,000 financial assistance for the victims of Taal volcano eruption. (PR)
