Mabalacat mayor asks Clark locators to coordinate with LGU on Covid cases

MABALACAT City Mayor Cris Garbo has asked locators in Clark Freeport to coordinate with the local government units on the cases of coronavirus diseases (Covid-19).

The mayor cited some of the measures to prevent massive infection by temporarily isolating workers with symptoms or those exposed by suspected virus carriers.

Garbo is asking the assistance of Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and the Clark Investor and Locators (CILA) to address the issue.

He added coordinating suspected cases will allow the City Government to handle the Covid-19 situation in the city.

He said that a quarantine facility at the New Clark City (NCC) will be opened on September 1.

The mayor said the City Government will use the NCC building as an alternate quarantine facility to accommodate the increasing number of Covid-19 patients.

Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda earlier appealed to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to designate a building at NCC and establish a quarantine facility.

In response, the BCDA has prepared Building B of NCC to be used as an alternate Covid-19 facility to augment hospitals and isolation facilities maintained by local government units in Pampanga and Tarlac.
