MABALACAT City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo has vowed to continue programs to end malnutrition in the city.

He said it has always been one of his objectives to prevent malnutrition and improve the nutritional status of kids in the locality.

The City Nutrition Office (CNO), headed by Joronny Aragon Lingat, recently conducted an assessment and Vitamin Supplementation of babies six to 23 months old at Sitio Calapi.

The local government completed a 125-day supplemental feeding, dubbed Tutok Kainan: Dietary Supplementation Progra, in the area.

The assessment was conducted for the local government to determine the effectiveness of the program.

During the period, children were given multivitamins to make them healthy and strengthen their immune system.

Parents and guardians of the kids were also educated on proper feeding practices and child care.

This program is part of the CNO's programs that support Garbo's First 1,000 Days in office as local chief executive.
