Mabalacat provides food aid to indigent families

Charlene A. Cayabyab

AT LEAST 2,300 families in Mabalacat recently received food assistance from the City Government.

Under the program "Pagkain sa Hapag Kainan sa Bawat Mabalaqueños," Mayor Crisostomo Garbo distributed staple foods and groceries to selected families at the Xevera Lot Only Covered Court in Barangay Tabun on December 5 and 6.

Each family received half sack of rice and a bag of assorted rations.

The MCG "Pagkain sa Hapag Kainan sa Bawat Mabalaqueños" program aims to augment food provisions among impoverished families.

Executives from the 27 barangays of the city were tapped to seek out and identify beneficiaries among their constituents.
