Mabalacat to saturate villages with unvaccinated residents

Reynaldo G. Navales

THE local government unit (LGU) of Mabalacat City, Pampanga is set to saturate top barangays with unvaccinated residents.

This is in line with the City Government's Covid-19 vaccination campaign under the directive of Mayor Cris Garbo and Vice Mayor Geld Aquino.

The local officials said unvaccinated individuals may still avail of the LGU's vaccination program.

There are still 12,370 unvaccinated residents in this city, based on the census conducted by the City Government under the directive of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

Among the 12,370 unvaccinated individuals, 2,917 are 18 to 59 years old; 578 are senior citizens; and 8,875 are children ages 5 to 17, according to the LGU.

"Dahil dito, maglulunsad ang MCG ng Oplan Barangayan: Bakunahan sa Barangay 2 para sa first and second dose ng mga unvaccinated Mabalaqueños na may edad 18 hanggang 59 taon, kasama ang mga senior citizens," the local government said.

Garbo appealed to his unvaccinated constituents to get inoculated against Covid-19 for extra protection.
