Magalang records 4 new Covid-19 cases

THE local government of Magalang recorded four new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19), as of January 16, 2021.

This brought the total number of Covid-19 cases in the town to 14, the Municipal Health Office (MHO) stated.

The MHO reported a total 161 Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

Of the total cases, 12 patients had so far died from the virus.

Three of the new four patients are from barangay San Francisco and the remaining one resides in Barangay Santo Rosario.

The patients are now undergoing treatment and their respective family members were placed under quarantine.

The local government appealed to the residents to continue observing social distancing and wearing of face shields.

The constituents were also asked to practice frequent washing of hands and avoid mass gatherings.
