Magalang town records 25 new Covid-19 cases

THE municipal government of Magalang, Pampanga on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, recorded 25 new cases of Covid-19.

The new cases include four kids -- a 12-year old boy, a five-year-old girl, and an 11-year-old girl, all from Barangay Santa Cruz; and a two-year-old girl from Barangay Ayala.

Aside from these kids, the Municipal Health Office also reported three new senior patients including a 68-year-old man and a 62-year old woman, both of Barangay San Pedro 2; and a 68-year-old woman from Barangay Dolores.

These new cases have brought the total number of active Covid-19 cases in the town to 166.

The local government on the same day logged two Covid-19 deaths -- Patient M1227, a 67-year-old man from Barangay San Isidro and Patient M1263, a 59-year-old man from Barangay San Antonio.

Covid-19 fatalities in the town have climbed to 84 as of Wednesday.

The local government also recorded six new patient recoveries on September 8.

A total of 1,319 residents had contracted the virus since 2021 and 1,102 of them recovered from the virus.
