MAGALANG'S fourth coronavirus disease (Covid-19) patient has recovered, Mayor Romulo Pecson announced on Monday, July 13.

Patient M4, a medical frontliner in nearby Mabalacat City and a resident of Barangay San Miguel, Magalang, was recently discharged from the Diosdado Macapagal Medical Center.

Pecson said M4 will undergo a 14-day home quarantine.

"We now have zero active Covid-19 cases in Magalang," said Pecson.

The mayor reminded his constituents to practice social distancing and other health protocols, including the wearing of face mask, washing and sanitizing of hands, and others.

"We would like to remind everyone to follow health protocols and avoid going to public places if not necessary to prevent the spread of Covid-19," Pecson said.

The local chief executive recently led the launching of Tanod Covid virus watch program in celebration of his one year service as town mayor.

"Gamit ang Tanod Covid, maaari nang ipagbigay alam sa Magalang LGU kung kayo ay may sintomas ng Covid-19 para agaran itong maaksiyunan," Pecson said.

As of Monday, July 13, the local government is monitoring 101 probable Covid-19 cases.
