Man wanted for rape, homicide nabbed after hiding for 14 years

MEXICO, Pampanga—The long story of a man who is wanted for alleged rape and homicide in a case could now be put to a close after agents of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd PMFC), led by Police Lieutenant Colonel John Clark, arrested the suspect in Macabebe town after hiding for 14 years.

Police reports said that the suspect, identified as Jayson Valerio y Aguas, 41-years-old, of Barangay Panipuan, Mexico is wanted for rape and homicide and is considered as the topmost wanted person in Mexico town.

Clark said that the suspect was arrested through a warrant issued by Judge Carmelita Gutierrez-Fruelda of the Regional Trial Court Branch 43 of the City of San Fernando.

The suspect was apprehended in Barangay Kaduang Tete in Macabebe town. The warrant for the suspect was issued in 2006.

Clark said that they received information about the suspect’s whereabouts and immediately implemented the arrest.

The suspect faces rape and homicide charges under criminal case number 14395.
