Mayor denies Covid-19 case in Apalit

AMID worries from residents of Apalit town, Mayor Oscar Tetangco, Jr. clarified that there is still no confirmed case of the dreaded coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the community.

Over the weekend, several reports circulated on social media that a person was admitted in a private hospital here due to Covid-19.

Tetangco debunked said reports, but disclosed there is a person under investigation admitted in one of the hospitals in town.

“There is one person under investigation but there is still no confirmation if the patient has contracted the disease,” he said.

Tetangco asked the public to remain calm but alert as the local government is in continuous coordination with concerned agencies regarding the matter.

He advised the public to continuously practice proper hygiene, regular hand washing and proper cough etiquette to safeguard each other from the disease.
