CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Mayor Edwin Santiago issued a marching order to the police Wednesday, September 18, to immediately track down and hold accountable the suspects in the recent shooting incidents that transpired in the city.

Santiago said he already ordered Lieutenant Colonel Paul Gamido, city chief of police, to fast-track the investigation and bring justice to victims of the separate attacks that led to the death of Marvin Lalic.

“The incident in front of Paskuhan Village is not meant to happen in our city but nonetheless, we wanted to assure the family that we will bring justice to the unfortunate loss of their loved one through our city police,” he said.

Santiago added, “I was also already able to talk to the two injured victims and although their cases are internal and personal disputes, they are cooperating with us in solving this crime.”

The local chief executive also assured Fernandinos and stakeholders that the province’s capital city remains safe for living and doing business as the incident is considered an isolated case.

“No need to worry or be alarmed because our local police, the POSCO (Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office), as well as our Command and Control Center is in place to ensure the safety and security of the public,” he said.
