MOST Outstanding Kapampangan awardees (Moka) in the field of culture and the arts mounted an exhibit of their works and crafts at the SM City Pampanga on Monday, December 6, as part of the kick-off ceremonies for the Aldo Ning Kapampangan celebrations.

The exhibit will run until December 11.

The event, dubbed “Kalalangang Kapampangan,” is curated by artist Norman Philip Tiotuico.

Among the artworks included in the exhibit are paintings by Rafael Maniago and letras y figuras by Alvaro Jimenez.

Works of foremost ecclesiastical artist Willy Layug are also displayed in the exhibit.

Second District Board Member Mylyn Pineda Cayabyab dubbed the exhibit as a showcase of the best Kapampangan expressions in arts and craft.

She said the exhibit should be a regular program of the Aldo ning Kapampangan celebrations to provide more Kapampangans a glimpse of the best of Kapampangan art done by fellow Kapampangans.

The Aldo Ning Kapampangan commemorates the founding of Pampanga as a province. This year, the province celebrates its 450th founding anniversary.
